Ok, first off, let me get a couple of things out of the way. When I first heard there was going to be a new season of Code Lyoko, I was majorly excited. But then I heard that the scenes that take place on Earth/the real world were going to be live-action and that got me to having some doubts.
Anyway, I just finished watching the preview episode that was released today (which you can see here: yoursphere.com/Code-Lyoko-Evol…)....and it just blew me away! The writing is great, the characters are more complex then in the original series, and the CG in the scenes on Lyoko just look stunning!
Now I will say that my immediate concern with this being half-live action was that the dubbing was going to suck. Thankfully, I was 100% wrong. The dubbing is way superior to that of the original series and, again, there's more depth put into the writing.
So, with all that said, I am definitely looking forward to seeing future episodes! Hopefully, they'll all show the level of quality of this episode.

R.I.P. Linda
My cousin Linda, who is the exact same age as I am, passed away yesterday due to an accidental drug overdose. She was one of my best friends growing up and hearing about this loss just really struck a blow for me. I'll always remember her as a wonderful person and a wonderful friend. I'm sad she had to go this way, but I know she's in a better place now.

I still think the live action will suck. They took a bunch of kids who really can't act and expect it to live up to previous Code Lyoko shows. The only thing I like is when they go into the scanners and enter Lyoko. The characters look fresh and smoother, but I still think they need to bring back the cartoons. Years ago, I thought the 2D/3D transition was awesome, and I had never seen anything like it. Now, they have the real life/3D and it just looks cheesy. I really think they messed up there.
